Cirque du Mole is an interactive cooking and entertainment experience. Combining competition cooking, vaudeville and burlesque acts, live music, and audience participation, Cirque is one of the most inventive, and certainly one of the tastiest, shows around. The show features chefs Adam and Doryan, who have become well known for working with Wednesday Night Dinner events, musical entertainment in local Burlesque for Peace shows, inventive cooking styles, and the ability to produce a great meal in the most unlikely of conditions. For this show, Adam and Doryan are relegated to the side of the stage with small kitchenette setups, where they each produce three dishes: appetizer, main course, and dessert. The featured ingredient for our first Cirque du Mole was chocolate, thus easily lending itself to the use of traditional Mexican mole dishes, as well as providing a challenge to try and create a full meal utilizing chocolate in each dish. |

Cirque was first performed this year at Austin's local Flipside festival. Our lovely emcees kept the audience excited, while Adam and Doryan exchanged insults with each other, playing on the idea that this is a competition, and good-natured ribbing is to be expected. |

| In between courses, and as people are eating, there are numerous acts from local artists to keep the audience entertained. The chefs' assistants broke into a choreographed dance/fight/partner-balancing act, a local comedienne entertained with her racy wit, and one group dressed entirely in vegetables, stripped themselves while tossing their costumes into the audience. |

In the end, as people enjoy their just desserts, Adam and Doryan threw aside their competitive differences to entertain the guests with their own original style of music.![]() |

| Of course, the winner was never decided. After three rounds of indian leg wrestling with women in the audience licking chocolate syrup off their chests, Adam and Doryan decided there's no need to pick a winner at that point. Of course, we can't show you that, but we CAN show you that Cirque Du Mole is only getting bigger and better as the years progress. Check out this year's Slide Show from our newest incarnation: "Fall from Graceland!" If you'd like to participate in any way, contact Doryan. |
